We are excited to welcome you to West Briar Middle School, home of the Grizzlies. Below are some helpful links and answers to frequently asked questions. We look forward to seeing you when the doors open in August!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
My family is new to the neighborhood. How do we enroll at WBMS?
Click here for enrollment and registration forms Or, contact the Front Office directly at 281-368-2140. WBMS hosts registration days for new students in August. Check the WBMS website for details on the August registration dates.
Where do I get information on WB Athletics, electives, GT or Advanced placement classes?
Check the WBMS website under academics and athletics for more information. The Registrar's Office will have the latest information on course selections for each grade. This year, incoming 6th grade students & current students had the opportunity to sign up for electives on line.

GT & PRE-AP Classes - Are available to students. Several 8th grade classes can even count towards high school credit.

Electives - Students can choose from Band, Orchestra, Theater, Choir, Art, Computer Technology & Dance. Click here for more information on Fine Arts at WBMS.

Athletics - Football, baseball, track, tennis, swimming, soccer, softball, volleyball, wrestling and many club sports. Please check website for grade eligibility.
Is there a student orientation for new students?
Traditionally in August, WBMS hosts grade level "Camps" and Parent Informational Meetings. The dates for these events will be announced over the summer. Please check the school website or sign up to receive the PTO "Weekly E-Blast" for the latest school communications.
Do the students wear uniforms and where do we get them?
Yes, each grade has a designated uniform shirt color. WBMS uniform shirts must be work with khaki pants, shorts, or skirts per the school stated uniform guidelines. Spirit Shirts may be work on Fridays only, and may be work with jeans - no holes, rips, or tears are allowed. Uniforms and Spirit Shirts are purchased through the PTO School Store. Where do we get supplies for the school year?
The PTO works directly with teachers on grade level school supply boxes. Order online through SchoolToolBox and school supplies will be delivered directly to your house. Each box is also customizable - you can change quantities or remove items you don't need.
How can parents get involved with WBMS?
That's easy... Join the PTO and volunteer!

The PTO has many different programs and activities throughout the year. There is something for everyone - whether you have a few hours a week or a few hours a year. PTO membership is $15 per family. Anyone interested in volunteering in the school must be VIPS approved at the start of each academic year. Click here to become VIPS approved.
